Brake discs STOPTECH or EBC

EBC Brake discs

If money is not an issue, get EBC slotted rotors and yellow stuff pads. Amazing combo and will be getting the same when I need brakes.

I have the same setup except with red stuff on my supercharged jag and have 70k miles on the rotors and pads and still look like the day I bought em. I drove that car like I stole it all the time and it has been through pretty rough winters here in central KY.

Pros: amazing combo, long lasting
Mileage: 70000 km

I changed my rear brakes around 40,000km due to excessive rust perforation on the rear brake rotors and I opted for EBC slotted and drilled rotors paired with Green Stuff Series 2000 pads. They were phenomenal until 103k when I sold the car. A bit dusty but worked fantastic.

Pros: worked fantastic, phenomenal
Cons: a bit dusty
Mileage: 103000 km

I think it's absolutely worth it if you have quality rotors. Had a set of drilled EBC rotors a while back, and had them turned 3 times before they were below spec. Think it was under $20 per rotor. Those things never warped.

Pros: quality rotors, never warped

My previous Maxima warped rotors like crazy until I put some of the EBC usr slotted on it. They are excellent rotors.

Pros: excellent rotors, no warping
Cons: previous rotors warped

I use stoptech cryo slotted rotors front and rear, stoptech stainless lines front and rear, and stoptech sport pads and I have been very happy. No squeaks, squeals, and very little dust. After my last track day they did go a little wonky on me but I took an afternoon to go get them a little hot again on a fun drive and they straightened out for me. No vibration/wonky wheel ever since. They have worn nicely and I had it all installed back on Aug 3, 2017.

Pros: no squeaks, little dust, good wear
Cons: warped after track use

STOPTECH Brake discs

I threw that same combination on my genesis coupe to replace the brembos. This is probably a better brake set up and much cheaper, I beat the crap out of it on multiple track days with next to no fade.

Pros: better setup, cheaper, no fade

Pagid is one of the industry leaders in brakes. They have other single piece cast rotors in the $100/ea range, just make sure you stick with something that uses a high carbon alloy. There's nothing wrong with going single piece, Stoptech's performance rotors are just drilled and slotted Centric high carbon single piece rotors. If you're going to keep the car long enough to realistically think you'll change the rotors again, then FCP Euro for the lifetime warranty. I've run Stoptech Sports and they're fantastic but make a fair amount of noise at the end of their life and expensive now.

Pros: fantastic performance, good value
Cons: noisy at end of life, expensive
Vehicle: BMW
