Even though the battery tested fine the problem went when I replaced the battery.
I ended up going to batteries plus, getting a Duracell battery that they installed and warranty for 3 years ago for about $300.
Also, most car manufacturers know that customers are generally bad at doing the "correct" thing, so they protect their batteries by design.
When you are charging to 100% you are actually closer to 95-97%, when you run your car to 0% it's actually 5-7%
All because it's easier to show you another number and build the protection into the system, than to change people's habits.
I put in an 850 cca 800 amp battery and the old one (Duracell or something I think) I replaced was a 900cca battery. Old one was h8. I replaced with an h7 because thats what fcp euro said was the right size for my car. That was the issue. Took it out and replaced with and H8 and it was still in limp mode! Got my code reader out and cleared the codes and restarted and everything works great now
My Kia EV6 does 10-80 in 18 minutes which is getting close, IMO. It\u2019s certainly enough for me
How's the Duracell Vs the oem? I have 6 battery to buy (2 per pack) for a similar ups (1300va from apc with same lcd).
Of course you do. 16-19 kWh/100km to 20-23 kWh/100km. Kia EV6.
I bought a ‘24 GT with 5k miles and regret it every day. The battery had to be replaced at 9k miles and we had a loaner for a 5 weeks. Everyday issues like Carplay not working 50% of the time and the backup sensors being way too sensitive drive me insane.
Duracell [battery] with a 3 year free replacement warranty. Last one failed unusually early, just short of 3 years
FWIW…. I’ve had 3 Duracell batteries and all have died within 3 years of manufacture date, and they have a 2yr warranty.
