The Gislaved snow tires and AWD came in very handy as rain turned to freezing rain and then snow along our route.
Owner reviews for tires
I have Dunlop Winter Sport tires riding on 17" wheels during the winter and the ride is smoother and they are not louder than my 18" wheels with summer tires.
A while back I got some Proxes-4's from Les Schwab for some ridiculous price like $67/tire. I thought it was a good deal.
I got about 23,000 miles out of this set of Barums. They have been a great tire.
Well, I have a set of 512's but they are not stretched. However, they are the best tire I have owned to date for the price.
Unfortunately, just the stock Michelin A/S 255-width ones.
I've driven in quite heavy rain with them, and was quite impressed by their performance.
I ran the Toyo RA1 this weekend at Mt. Tremblant in a 235/40/17 and I really like them, much more grip than the 615, but you need to get the pressures right on them. I did find that at full tread depth I got a little squirm especially if they over heated.
The Pirelli PZero Nero M&S is a ULTRA PERFORMANCE tire [one step down from the MAX PERFORMANCE] and is an all-season tire, which is a compromise in handling compared to the Kumho MX's.
I have had this problem too after I got my car back from the shop and had almost new BFGoodrich KDW2's put on. Ever since, the car instantly pulls over to the right to a point where I was always holding the steering wheel a little left everyplace I went. I set the PSI on both sides equally and that helped some, but it still does it so I hope this thread comes up with something. I was just about to go back to the shop and have them re-align it but the guy swears they already did it. Maybe the steering wheel isn't on correctly, they installed a new airbag as well. It makes the car difficult to control around twisties too.
