When my OEMs are gone I have always bgt Michelins and been very pleased. If I get 40-50K miles on a tire I'm happy.
Owner reviews for tires
I put a set of GOODYEAR ASSURANCE WEATHERREADY’s on my wife’s 2017 SEL. So far, so good.
Just reporting first snow, 6", with Sumimoto 205.60.16 Ice Edge snow tires on 16"Austin wheels, GREAT. Soft tire, slows cornering cheap really grips, comfortable.
Personally, I went with the Continentals three weeks ago and love them.
Running Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4's -225/45 r17. Over a year on them in pothole Ohio. No problems whatsoever, Even with hitting the odd pothole directly.
Just switched from the DWS to the MPSAS4 and the Michelin is by far the more performance oriented all season tire.
Oh then 1000% get Michelin pilot sport a/s 3+ not even a debate. They ARE sports car tires, handling is off the chain, they have stupid long mileage warranty, they are phenomenal in the rain, and they are fantastic in light snow (say 3" or less) and light ice. But they are definitely dead silent.
2020 Tiguan S - Goodyear Assurance . Quiet and smooth but 215/65R17.
Full tread they were good in the rain but definitely left something to be desired once they got below half tread.
I just replaced the OEM Conti TXs on my 15 Passat. Those tires were good only in dry weather-they lost traction from a start in wet weather and I actually got stuck in about 2\" of snow on a slight rise by my house.
