OEM Mercedes Tires

Driving impressions: Holy torque! I didn't realize the NA trucks had a sport mode. This thing chirps the front tires off the line. It's ridiculous and I love it. The steering ratio is slower than the Rover, so my muscle memory is gonna need some adjustments. Also, I wish the seat bottom would angle back a bit more, but other than that, no complaints.

Pros: Holy torque, sport mode
Cons: steering ratio is slower

Toyo Tires

By contrast, the Toyo Celsius has not only been tested in the winter, but it even performed well on ice. (Well, at least as well on ice as a non-winter tire can possibly do.)

Pros: performed well on ice

Nokia Tires

During the chaos, my set of APTs faced deep puddles, slush, powder snow, deep snow compact snow, and ice, and many hills. Quite the shakedown indeed. But in one word, confidence! I had no problems driving off on a stand-still on either level or uphills, and no problems stopping whatsoever. My car was stable and I was in complete control at all times.

Pros: confidence, stable, complete control
Vehicle: Hyundai
Mileage: 100 km

DUNLOP Tires

I have dunlop mutants on my husaberg supermoto. I love them but the sides tear up pretty quickly under hard use. They're nice and sticky though!

BRIDGESTONE Tires

Bridgestones are top rated. Ive been using them for 20 years in Minnesota (brutal road conditions) so incredibly superior to regular summer/all weather tires.

Pros: top rated, incredibly superior

DUNLOP Tires

I just wanted to share my opinion of the Dunlop Mutants after about 3000km of fixed use (highway touring, mountain twists, commuting, and fire/gravel/cottage roads in wet/dry/cold conditions. The tires are brilliant and my new favourite road tire.

Pros: brilliant, new favourite road tire
Cons: not cheap, sides wash out
Mileage: 3000 km

The Michelin sidewalls had all the support in the world, to the point of feeling harsh. Awesome in the corners though but the car definitely thudded over expansion joints and bumps.

Pros: awesome in corners, good support
Cons: harsh ride, thudded over bumps

I had a set of Conti DWS tires that always vibrated -- at least 2 of them. I ended up replacing them all within 5K miles because two of the tires were shredded in a Home Depot parking lot -- they left a bunch of sharp metal on the ground in the back of their lot and, classic my luck, I found it. They ended up paying for new tires under their insurance but because it was a Subaru, I argued I needed to replace all 4 tires. Anyway, the new tires... no vibration anymore. It's one of the best unfortunate accidents I had, haha.

Cons: always vibrated
Vehicle: Subaru
Mileage: 5000 km
