Owner reviews for tie rods
I like the quality and price of the Meyle tierods, and tierod ends (while they aren't the least expensive, they are much less expensive than VW/TRW replacements and the quality is excellent).
I just went R32 LCA and knuckles. Flipped the tie rod and no issues or cutting bending etc..
no complaints on the couple meyle kits I have installed. seem like legit parts.
The Meyle complete tierods fit perfectly, and I still have plenty of thread left on the inner tierods (around 5/16\"-3/8\"\" of thread showing on the inners) for adjustment (longer or shorter) even after installing H&R Sport springs.
The tie rod i installed was made by Meyle, but Febi is top quality as far as aftermarket OEM replacement parts go.
I recently purchased the entire inner, and outter rods as a set, they were 23$ versus 25 for just the outer! Meyle... hmm..
I also have recently run into this problem. . . in my case the zf rod was too long by about and inch and a half. what we determined (Dynamic Racing Solutions and I) was that world pack had a mis-labeled batch of tirods.
Adjusting the tie rods to center the wheel would be like bending the speedometer needle to improve your top speed. Bad idea.
Meyle are good? My brother in law had a pretty bad experience with those from ecstuning with his parents' B5 Passat..they wore out faster than the OEM tie-rods.
