Order the OEM Fog Lights, Fog Trim Grilles and VW OEM retro fit harness from Paul at Deutsche Auto Parts. Retro fit kit allows you to hook up the OEM without running through the CECM if you don't want to upgrade with computer. You will not be able to have the fogs run as cornering lights unless you replace the CECM however. I did not want the cornering anyway since I run my fogs all the time regardless. I highly suggest getting all OEM parts for the fog retro fit instead of cheaper options. I had to replace the first retro fit fog harness I bought because it crapped out on me in under two weeks. Go OEM parts and do it right and do it once.

Pros: OEM parts, do it right
Cons: harness crapped out

So after I lost both ballast on my 04 v8 I decided to run my drl's through the fog lights, with ballasts and 8k hids.now when the car is running, headlights are off,so far so good, and of course when the sun sets, my headlights come on, quite abit of light from four hids

Pros: quite abit of light

It makes a fairly drastic different in visibility on my E30 so I use them, they're yellow too. They're aimed properly and won't blind anyone and provide better visibility IMO

Pros: better visibility, aimed properly

I regularly use my "fog" lights to augment the headlights on back roads. They illuminate a wider patch and add intensity in front of the car without being blinding to oncoming traffic.

Pros: illuminate a wider patch
Cons: Volvo headlights suck

i ordered a set of smoke long turns and fogs for my 98 jetta, and other than them being marked as US spec, and fitting euro spec instead, they seem to be nice lights. they look nice though, and seem to be pretty solid construction. The fogs dont seem quite as beefy as the OEM ones. overall I'd say a sound investment

Pros: nice lights, solid construction
Cons: fogs not beefy

I find driving with my fog lights on in my Mk3 helps with the light output, especially in the darker roads with less/no street lamps.

Pros: helps with light output

Hella Fog lights

I set out to install HID's in my Hella Micro DE fog lights, which use a H3 bulb. If you've ever installed a \"drop-in HID kit,\" you'll know it's not quite that straightforward because the rear end of HID bulbs is much longer than a standard Halogen bulb.

Cons: Chinese plastic crumbled

depo are crap, and if you care to disagree have a look at the pics below my mate bought some depo front fog lights for his mk2 golf, and before anyone says.......... no he didn't put in higher wattage lamps, their the original lamps which where supplied with the fog lamp. The whole light fitting melted and destroyed the bulb holder

Cons: light fitting melted
