Recently installed a set of Morimoto HXB combo beam lights in my fog light housings. Had to custom make brackets and trim the stock fog light mounts. Very happy to have legit yellow fogs as we get really heavy fog this time of year in N Florida. Works really well and I can run with no headlights as these have more lumens than the headlights. Highly recommend
We agreed the morimoto housings made mounting of the SSC1 Diod Dynamics much easier. I still need to aim them but the output is so much better than the Morimoto's or stock fogs/driving lights.
I also like the Hellas over the other aftermarket lights (except for maybe something like KC) because of their beam pattern. Super nice cutoff and it's not as blinding to other drivers with the fog beam pattern.
On my 2016 I just did the Morimoto HID conversion for lows and Lumawerx LED’s for high beams. Morimoto LED fogs too. Amazing quality.
Can't believe the difference it makes. Got the morimoto deal and got the 4banger fog lights for free. May be a bit of adjusting to do but I absolutely love the look.
Check out morimoto fog lights. I upgraded my 2010 and these are amazing. I'd trust these over any ebay stuff.
Aftermarket LED’s will be considerably cheaper than OEM. Plus those OEM fog lights look to be halogen bulbs which you won’t even notice on the road when turned on. I got Morimoto LED fogs for my STI and they were about $200 CAD if I remember correctly.
The Morimotos just didn't have good light output compared to the SS2 in my corrado and the SS3 I have in my Q7: Yes the SS2 are mounted in the corrado fog lights assemblies.
Tried their fog lights. Worse than stock. Same experience with their customer service.
I just bought these to replace the broken ones on my 98. Like you I thought it was a solid deal and they are a little bigger than the factory ones. They will not fit on the same bracket the factory ones were mounted on. The mounting point is on the bottom vs the back like the OEMs and the additional size makes it impossible.
