I can confirm that the fog lights on my 2021 SEL P R-Line Arteon work great. I was driving from Seattle to Portland and passed through several areas of dense fog. The fog lights did a good job of lighting the road near and to the (front) sides of the car.

Pros: work great, lighting the road

The LED lights work way better than any fog lights I've owned. It really does illuminate the side of the road and fills the gap between the front of your hood and where the standard lights start.

Pros: illuminates the side road

Buy a set of Osram night breakers for your fogs. My CC has HID and I bought these H7 for my corner lights [emoji6], D1S night breakers for the lows/highs and H11 night breakers for the fogs. I can see again.

Pros: I can see again

TYC Fog lights

I went with the TYC brand from Rock Auto, which costs about 1/2 of the price of the VW kit. Quality seemed good enough--I have used the TYC brand on two other VWs.

Pros: good enough quality

They are bright enough at night to shine a little bit in the front of the car but by no means are they "good fogs." I find the headlights in this car adequate to not really need fogs but all the same, I like the look of them and they are not distracting to oncoming drivers.

Pros: like the look
Cons: not good fogs

I would recommend using an LED that has an external driver for the fog lights. The LED bulbs that are linked above don\u2019t put out near the same light output, as they use a smaller chip with lower flux rating. I used a Morimoto 2stroke kit I had laying around on my wife\u2019s Atlas, and the difference is amazing.

Pros: amazing difference
Cons: lower light output

So I initially enabled the all weather light, city light, and rain light modes. I use my fog lights most of the time and didn't really like how the beam pattern changed when having them on, so I disabled the all weather mode. It is very hard to notice a change with city mode enabled, but if you come to a stop or accelerate from a stop you'll notice the beam pattern change slightly.

Pros: beam pattern changes slightly
Cons: beam pattern changed

the depo fogs do not have a fluted lens behind the projector that improves the side to side spread like the Hellas.

Cons: no fluted lens
