Consider using Liqui-moly engine flush at the oil changes to help decarbonize the engine… especially the oil rings.

BG makes a great flush product.

The BG engine oil flush is one of the best on the market but it's pricey.

I ran a XADO chemical group flush in my oil and I think it quieted down my old motor with 220k on the clock.

Can try the engine flush (I use Toyo one) on next engine oil change. Keep using full synthetic oil and repeat every year flush.

Not on a sledged up engine but I’ve used it with success on my high-mileage BMW. Followed with Penzoil for a thousand miles or so.

It does the job but don't expect miracles from it. I've seen it do decent work on severly gunked up engines. Nothing magical, but it did clean up the valve train a little.
