I have been using Prestone Green FORever, in all my cars but the one that is Dexi-cool. I don't think I have ever had an issue with the Green as I flush my cars on a bi-yearly kinda thing or when I have to change things.

Pros: no issues

VALVOLINE Antifreeze

From the manual: "The manufacturer recommends using MOPAR Antifreeze/Coolant 5 Year/100,000 Mile Formula HOAT (Hybrid Organic Additive Technology) or equivalent." Remember that the Routans are really Chryslers in disguise, so no need to go exotic brands on fluids. So you can try this: Valvoline Zerex ZXGO51 G-05 Antifreeze.

Pros: available at many stores
Vehicle: Chrysler
Mileage: 100000 km
Part number: ZXGO51

Don't switch from conventional antifreeze to Dex-cool unless the cooling system is very, very clean. Otherwise, Dex-cool can dissolve deposits and look like opaque mud. Cleaners used with it can also turn tiny leaks into big ones. Despite this, I've been running Dex-cool in my 1993 Ford and 1986 Toyota for many years, and both cars still have their original radiators and heater cores.

Pros: long-term reliability, original components maintained
Cons: requires clean system, dissolves deposits, can cause leaks

I use Prestone Celisus Anti-freeze/coolant. It's pretty much universal, never had a problem in my 92 TD or my 91 1.8 8V with coolant or overheating.

Pros: universal, no problems

I got the light this morning on the wife's JSW. So I checked out the situation. Sure enough seriously low coolant, like well below minimum fill line. Only 7000 miles. Took it to the dealership to have it topped off.

Cons: seriously low coolant
Mileage: 7000 km

I've had zero issues using green prestone for the past 100k on my 16v. Just change it every 2-3 years. Car never has any white build-up or any build-up in the hoses, so there's no real reason to not use it. Ph level stays neutral. Engine even has the original water pump at 180k

Pros: zero issues, ph neutral
Mileage: 100000 km
