2011 Kia soul. 190k miles. No engine oil issues. Use fully synthetic that lasts about 10,000 miles per oil change. The only thing that I replaced twice was the alternator. lol

IMO a rebuilt German Bosch unit is far superior to the Chinese alts.
I've heard good things about Denso 210 and recently put one in my 2014 GT Premium when the alternator went.
I went with a Duralast Gold(90A) which never gave me a issue. If I had a oscilliscope im sure it had good output.
Buy what you want, but I trust these over any other brand. They are OEM for Toyota and many other brands. Exceptional quality that lasts. I've installed many of them in customer vehicles over the years. Best reman in the industry
I’ve used this company for my last few Hondas and they have been great. Not one issue and the most recent was my wife’s 9th gen V6 sedan a couple months ago which I bought from RVV. The newer Hondas have the ELD system which doesn’t seem to play nice with any alternator other than Denso and these rebuilt ones by RVV are of high quality.
You can clean it and put it back, but make sure the voltage is fine. This happened to a mercedes I was driving and it caused voltage spikes every time the engine would have a change in rpms.
Upon retrieving the information to answer you correctly I discovered that my original alternator was a Bosch 140Amp/14Volt. My new alternator is an A-Premium 140Amp/12Volt.
Made the mistake of buying the duralast, first one lasted a couple months, and the second one is dying, only charging the battery at highway speeds, just like the first one before it died.
I've just got this issue in my Q8 in UK. I kept telling my service centre about the alternator but they said no recall. Going to give them an angry call tomorrow since car dead. Luckily have extended warranty, rac quote is \u00a33K!
