I bought my starter at Amazon, TYC brand. Going great 2 years later.
I had bought a TYC starter for my 99 Jeep works fantastic, yeah they’re new and they made in China
I used a starter from them in a Chevy impala and it worked fantastic until I sold the vehicle for other reasons
I put a TYC starter in a 2007 Santa Fe 2.7L the first week of December, 2023. Still working great since then. It's my neighbor's car and they were on a budget, but so far so good.
I bought the TYC. For my ranger and mustang. No issues at all. One is a daily driver.
TYC new starts have held up for me in other people's cars for a while now, so that or Remy new.
FWIW I bought a TYC 117842 for my Echo from Rock Auto and I was pretty happy with it
