I ran Nokian WRG2, 3 and 4 on all my cars here in Canada over the last many years but I was unable to find 255/45 for the MY.

I went with Toyo Celcius P255/45R19 instead, and they are fairly good (except in rain they suck), but slightly worse than the Nokians.

Pros: fairly good
Cons: suck in rain

By contrast, the Toyo Celsius has not only been tested in the winter, but it even performed well on ice. (Well, at least as well on ice as a non-winter tire can possibly do.)

Pros: performed well on ice

I’d love to try a bunch of different ones, but I’ve liked the Toyo GSI-6, had a nice sized tire to fit a 19” OZ wheel set I picked up

Pros: nice sized tire
Vehicle: Audi S5

Toyo RA-1 - I bought a set of these to run on wet days or when there is real threat of rain. On a dry day, especially with full tread, they don't live up to the other three tires up there. But on a cooler day, especially a slightly wet or wet one, these tires can move. I also find them the easiest of these four to recover from a slide

Pros: good on wet days
Cons: not good on dry days
Vehicle: Subaru BRZ

I'm at 7/32 at just under 20k miles on the stock Toyo's. Will likely swap them out this winter for something a bit more snow/ice capable, though they weren't awful this past year.

Pros: weren't awful
Cons: not snow/ice capable
Mileage: 32187 km

I'm running Toyo tires Proxes ST3. Such a much smoother ride than the stocks. Super grippy as well. Wet performance is also great.

Pros: smoother ride, super grippy

I ended up getting the Toyo Open Country ATIII tires as recommended by some of the posters below, and my tire shop! These seem to last longer than some of other options I was looking at, and don't need rotation as frequently. They're also rated as all-season tires, which is a nice plus for New England.

So far I've driven them offroad quite a bit in VT on the NE BDR, some trails in NH, and out on the beach at the Cape Cod National seashore. They've handled it all very well.

As far as road manners go, they are nice and quiet, but of course they are a slightly louder than highway tires. nothing obnoxious. They've also done just fine with grip on wet asphalt, and are fine on dry asphalt as well. I don't think they are as responsive as the HT tires were for steering on the road, but they track nice and straight.

Pros: nice and quiet, good grip
Cons: louder than highway tires
