Reviews of OEM Subaru air filter

Cleaned out the MAF, installed an air filter, and he topped up the oil. I've noticed that the throttle response was a little lower than before, the boost is noticeably lower, and there is no longer any blow off valve noises. Otherwise car runs fine and shows no signs of struggle.

Did an air filter replacement on my ‘02 Outback the night before I took it to work. Didn’t seat the airbox properly and the (EJ251?) ran off MAP so it ran fine at lower power levels/speeds but struggled to make power (and subsequently flashed the CEL) once I got on the highway.

Took my 09 Forester in for an oil change recently and they recommended I get the cabin and engine air filter replaced. I laughed in their face when they told me the price - $170.

The list is mostly fine (the fuel treatment isn't needed). It's way too expensive. Should be under $100 for the oil, filter, and rotate; should be under $300 for the brake fluid. The air filters you can do yourself for $50 and 10 minutes.
