Coming from my old 2005 Saab 9-2x Aero that had headlights that were opaque and yellowed and barely put out any light at all, these are literally like night and day. I dreaded night driving in my old car, especially if it was raining. It was like not having headlights at all. These ones on my Limited are like daylight coming out of the front of my car.

I have never in my life had such amazing low beams. These headlights are so good I swear they act like high beams. Been flashed 4 times. I’d buy the car again just for these headlights. The SRH are worth every Penny.

For that 250hp version of the 3.0L H6, Subaru said premium unleaded fuel was recommended . After some years had passed, our dealership saw a few of those engines coming into our shop with cracked pistons. When pressed, the owners said they ran a steady diet of regular unleaded fuel.

I only just replaced the Subaru branded battery a couple weeks ago with another Subaru battery. It comes with a 30 month warranty and supposed to have a 55 lifespan.

I had the same problem with the plastic piece that attaches to the windshield on my ‘16. Took to the dealership. All was good. Glue from the factory isn’t that good.

My 2015 Crosstrek blew a head gasket at 141k, only once ever let the oil change get past 5000 miles. Been disappointed with this car so far, needing a new engine, it'll probably be the end of my Subaru ownership.

The new ones with CVT's specifically (most specifically, the first ones that had CVT's) I've had consistent trouble with.

The rotors pulsate pretty easily on XT's. It's worse on Ascents but the problem is still present for anything with the 2.4L.

The OEM breaks very easily.

I swapped in a new Subaru OEM oil filter on my 2016 MT. After a short 1.5 miles drive, thin smoke escaped from beneath the hood, and a pool of oil gathered. Oil was literally burbling up from beneath the oil filter and spilling out. I immediately turned off the engine. I will not be using anymore of the junk OEM oil filters.
