I did consider paying $200 for the MB dashcam mainly for the convenience, but I got turned off once I realized you have to manually turn it on everytime you start driving, and just decided to get a 3rd party one instead as it was cheaper ($125ish) plus I was comfortable doing all the wiring myself to properly hide all cables

i paid for it in my 24 E350. it's ok. if i had it to do over again i'd go third party, mostly because the rear camera is stowed 99% of the time, so it can't be used as part of the dash cam.
