OEM Mercedes Oil filter

Guarda, i prezzi ormai sono quelli.

Infatti quest'anno ho deciso di fare da me il tagliando della mia Mercedes: ho speso meno tra materiali e attrezzatura di quello che avrei speso per un normale tagliando.

Pros: meno speso
Cons: prezzi alti
Vehicle: Mercedes

OEM Mercedes Tires

Took the truck up some open trails to see how it would fare on soccer mom tires. Not too bad! I did a 3 point turn in a single track road when it turned to deep mud and was blown away by the approach and departure angles on this thing.

Pros: good approach, departure angles
Cons: soccer mom tires

OEM Mercedes Tires

Driving impressions: Holy torque! I didn't realize the NA trucks had a sport mode. This thing chirps the front tires off the line. It's ridiculous and I love it. The steering ratio is slower than the Rover, so my muscle memory is gonna need some adjustments. Also, I wish the seat bottom would angle back a bit more, but other than that, no complaints.

Pros: Holy torque, sport mode
Cons: steering ratio is slower

OEM Mercedes Brake pads

I literally just did the rear rotors/pads and front pads for my amg GTS last week. I found that MBpartscenter.com had the best price that are OEM. Only 1k per rotor (compared to the dealer who wanted 1700 each). I also got porterfield R4S pads from pelican parts. They are considered streetable/track pads. I didn’t change the front rotors yet, but if I were to I would get them from FCP euro at $500 each rotor. My mechanic charged me $500 for install and a brake fluid flush

Pros: good price, OEM parts

OEM Mercedes Engine oil

I change my oil every 5k miles on my '18 C300. I work at an indy shop so I pay for wholesale dealer parts only. But my oil comes out golden and clean and I sleep better at night.

Pros: oil comes out clean
Mileage: 8046 km

OEM Mercedes Valve cover gasket

Rating 2.5

I got OEM valve cover gaskets when I changed mine, but had to redo the one side, trick was to just use a small amount of silicone at the one spot that always seems to leak.

Cons: prone to leaks, difficult to seal

OEM Mercedes Windshield

Rating 3.0

If you have to replace the windshield do not get an aftermarket one. Make sure it\u2019s OEM. I had a Mercedes and a SAAB which both had to have their windshields replaced. The Mercedes I bought new and the rain sensors worked great from day one. I had to replace the windshield after an accident. The insurance company had an aftermarket windshield installed and the rain sensors never worked right after that.

Pros: OEM windshield recommended
Cons: aftermarket sensors not working

OEM Mercedes Battery

I've dealt with this issue on both of my newer AMG vehicles. My older ones never had this problem. From my understanding, this is caused by the new mbux system being a bit of a power hog. I eventually had to invest in a trickle charger, and I have to charge both of my AMGs 3-4 times per year. It gets worse as your battery gets toward the end of its lifespan.

Cons: power hog, frequent charging needed, issue worsens
