When you say, \u201ctwo new batteries\u201d are you speaking of the big ones? There is a small one that operate your convenience/comfort items. It looks like a small garage door battery.

valve covers and front cam cover gaskets i did my self cost me 150 in parts and that lasted on original gaskets till about 170k miles as well.

the OEM ones on my wife's 2016 E400 are somehow still excellent.

They're also planted at highway speeds- no problem cruising at triple digits. With nearly 120k miles, unless you have service records that show otherwise, you're probably doing a lot of bushings and mounts. Will make the car feel brand new.

I consider my W204 C63 visceral, even if not analog. The 6.2 V8 makes all kinds of nasty noises you would not expect from a Mercedes and it howls all the way up to 7200rpm, which may not be that high, but still impresses me given the size of the engine. The car is quick, noisy and has the brakes to back it up.

I think one thing you can do is replace the 10 micron filter with a newer (3?) micron one of it hasn\u2019t been replaced already. His can help the longevity. change out the pentosin oil if it\u2019s nasty.

For about 35 minutes, I owned an 87 Mercedes diesel wagon. I got it in a trade deal with an MPV for my Dodge Stealth, and really just didn't care for it. A month later, the headgasket blew, then the injection pump failed.

almost forgot, had to replace transfer case on it. dont ever try to replace transfer case on it. take it to a professional. lesson learned.
