When you say, “two new batteries” are you speaking of the big ones? There is a small one that operate your convenience/comfort items. It looks like a small garage door battery.

OEM Mercedes Bushings
t44tq
 • Loose feel:
Rating 4.0

They're also planted at highway speeds- no problem cruising at triple digits. With nearly 120k miles, unless you have service records that show otherwise, you're probably doing a lot of bushings and mounts. Will make the car feel brand new.

Pros: planted at highway speeds
Mileage: 120000 km

OEM Mercedes Brake pads
Heaven7
 • Braking:
Rating 5.0

I consider my W204 C63 visceral, even if not analog. The 6.2 V8 makes all kinds of nasty noises you would not expect from a Mercedes and it howls all the way up to 7200rpm, which may not be that high, but still impresses me given the size of the engine. The car is quick, noisy and has the brakes to back it up.

Pros: quick, noisy, good brakes

OEM Mercedes Starter motor

I have a very loud starter noise on my SL65’s V12, it’s an electric whirr, sounding pretty much the same as the Veyron’s starter. I like it very very much

Pros: loud starter noise, electric whirr

OEM Mercedes Oil filter

I think one thing you can do is replace the 10 micron filter with a newer (3?) micron one of it hasn’t been replaced already. His can help the longevity. change out the pentosin oil if it’s nasty.

Pros: helps with longevity

Fantastic engine & brakes. I think they're very good looking cars, too. Mine bit me hard though, and I'd never own another.

OEM Mercedes Head gasket
Crispyfritter
 • Overheating:
Rating 1.0

For about 35 minutes, I owned an 87 Mercedes diesel wagon. I got it in a trade deal with an MPV for my Dodge Stealth, and really just didn't care for it. So while I was driving it home, I called a friend who was interested in cars like these. He said, "Bring it over." So I drove to his place, and he gave me decent money for it. A month later, the headgasket blew, then the injection pump failed.

Pros: got decent money
Cons: headgasket blew, pump failed
Vehicle: Mercedes
