Historically, OEM Mercedes batteries are really good and last many years.

Yeah the W204 C63’s performance is still very relevant to this day. It was able to hang with the CT4V and beat the Golf R. The handling may not be as good as the M3’s but the straight line performance and brakes are awesome.
I bought a 1992 300d back in 2021 for 3500, changed engine mounts (myself) which cost me about $50 and the ac compressor which was another $300.
I've had more electrical problems than mechanical (100k miles and 10 years later, only mechanical issue i had was a sticking caliper ($70 fix) 2 months ago).
I did consider paying $200 for the MB dashcam mainly for the convenience, but I got turned off once I realized you have to manually turn it on everytime you start driving, and just decided to get a 3rd party one instead as it was cheaper ($125ish) plus I was comfortable doing all the wiring myself to properly hide all cables
Such low profile tires must detract from the ride quality, no? Not to mention higher risk of damage to the rims of you hit a deep pothole at speed...
The cylinder head failure for the 4cyl m264 engine has been given a warranty extension by MB Canada ONLY! Faulty design ruins the exhaust valves.
as a huge Mercedes fan, NO THEY AREN'T RELIABLE! Shit breaks, there's miles upon miles of electric connections, and they like their maintenance. My cousin owns w210 as a daily, and it caught fire when oil from the valve cover seeped onto exhaust manifold.
My mechanic replaces them with OE Mercedes everytime my car needs new brakes. I ask him to use aftermarket and he keeps saying aftermarket pads squeak a lot. And guess what, my OE MB pads squeak like hell when I hit the brakes while reversing lol
with the merc don't settle for low spec and make sure cylinder head extended warranty is active
