Just got mine replaced today. Several nicks and a crack, then it blew up on the passenger side. A buddy recommended a windshield policy since this was my first Jeep. Glad I listened as this was a grand overall.

Recently I began having trouble with my starter. With a healthy battery, the starter was struggling to turn the motor over. Upon determining that the starter was in fact the problem, I decided to crack it open. What I found was that the brushes were worn down unevenly...The difference is incredible. It's now apparent to me that, even before I noticed my starter struggling, it had been getting slower and weaker for a long time. The rebuilt starter is incredibly energetic, and given that the brushes are the only wear part, it's not much of a stretch to say that it is now like-new.
Jeep Wranglers. And Jesus fucking Christ is it loud when you catch a rock doing 75 on the interstate! It scared the shit out of me the first time.
I have a project Jeep and have done the fuel pump , fuel filter , radiator clutch fans , fuel injectors , coil packs , spark plugs, coolant reservoir, charcoal canister , brakes , pcv valve and other miscellaneous things! I love working on my Jeep and like you said the feeling is so gratifying.
I do LOVE the light they put out and it’s crazy as they make my other car which has bi-xenon headlights look like halogen bulbs but I ran into two issues that made me question if Jeep did these wrong.
I have a 2023 Willys and I was driving over the Application Mountains on the PA turnpike and I would have people on the oncoming side of the highway flashing me for my headlights which was just crazy to me. The second issue I got caught in a freak blizzard and my headlights became a nice collector of ice and snow and I kept loosing the light from my headlights. I would have to stop on the side of the road to clear out the snow/ice about every 20-30 mins.
I had to replace my JLU windshield twice in 2 years. One of the times it looked like a baseball hit my windshield and exploded glass into the whole cab! I’m sorry to see that your windshield got toasted!
In my Jeep I turn off the ac... because it doesn’t always like to start if the ac compressor is engaged.
the new jeep gladiators are the worst, its high enough to light up the whole inside of your car from behind and blinding.
My stock headlights are terrible, so I may be doing something with those.
My dad's 1978 CJ5 has manual brakes and steering. It's pretty terrifying to drive though. The steering isn't so bad, but those brakes are scary. I keep my following distances up to snowstorm levels when I'm driving it.
