OEM Jeep Fuel pump

Bought mine in 2018, loved every second of driving it. The only issue I had was the fuel pump, but covered under a good will warranty from the dealership.

Pros: fun SUV to drive
Cons: fuel pump issue
Vehicle: Jeep Compass

OEM Jeep Headlights

I love mine. Do I get "flashed", sure. But IMO, its when another car has prob not passed another car in a while therefore making it seem like brights are on... dark dark dark dark BRIGHT!

Pros: bright
Cons: getting flashed

OEM Jeep Manual transmission

Rating 3.0

My complaints about the JL are the steering and manual transmission. Some how (in my opinion) they screwed both of those up over the JK.

Cons: steering and transmission

OEM Jeep Camshaft

Rating 1.0

Replaced 2 windshields, 2 cam shafts (under warranty), 3 phasers (something to do with timing I think, I'm not a mechanic), and a ground short (caused by them crimping a wiring harness when fixing a cam shaft). The other day my rear diff lock fault was flashing. Looking it up, it's a known problem, many people just bypass it. It went away for now, so I'm leaving it as is. I have a manual transmission and the clutch has had a recall on it for a year or more with no fix.

Cons: multiple part failures, clutch recall
Vehicle: Jeep
Mileage: 110110 km

OEM Jeep Oil filter

By those 60k miles they need about 3-4k worth of repairs and or maintenance things done IE brakes , suspensions, fluids etc

It was more economical to just get new ones and trade them in due to the high resale value especially on the wranglers

That being said if you’re in love with the truck get it and just fix things as they come. Look into the oil filter starvation issues etc if you’re thinking long term. I just learned to push the pedal down while cranking to prevent it from firing off when sitting for prolonged amounts of time . Our last JK had only 63k miles and was maintenance regularly but already had top end noise so we got rid of it .

Cons: oil filter starvation issues, top end noise
Vehicle: Jeep Wrangler
Mileage: 63000 km

OEM Jeep Fuel pump
GIWillys
  • Stalling:
Rating 1.0

Got my 21 Gladiator back after 2 months for the fuel pump recall. Damned thing died on the way to one of the only dealers in 90 miles, had to sit through thanksgiving, Christmas, moving into a new house and New Years without a rental or loaner vehicle while they figured out the parts situation.

Cons: fuel pump recall, part died, long repair
Vehicle: Jeep
