Do change the battery anyway each 5 years and thankfully my car is a Honda so it has a very high quality alternator made by Denso and starter motor made by Mitsuba
I have an 08 accord lx with a aftermarket starter and was getting misfires in 2 and 3 and the car would go into limp mode. I had to replace the starter with an OEM(mitsuba, I think it’s called?) from the dealership. Reinstalled everything and the codes went away after some time and now I have strong, fast cranks. Learned that with any vital part that goes bad in this car you should always put OEM and never go w aftermarket.
