This month, I installed Koni STR.T shocks... The handling is already way better than factory, just by adding more damping over the Euro Tuned shocks.
I used after market for shocks (Koni STR.T), and that went well.
Just got the Koni special active's installed last night and so far am very impressed! I can still feel the high spring rate of the '21 MY springs under some conditions, but the harshness has been taken off considerably! It's a MUCH more comfortable ride over all the expansion joints, railroad tracks, potholes, etc. Definitely worth the money.
Koni Yellows with IEM Stage 3 (H&R’s progressive rate springs were out of stock at the time,) So good. Did all the bushings/linkages at the same time, it drives like a dream
I've been through stock, Bilstein Sports, H&R Race, stock length housing coilovers, and various cheap camber plates and after all of that, I'm finally happy with my setup.
I run koni yellow and hr sport on my vert and it’s been excellent. Just as comfortable as stock with a much more planted feel
These seem like great value compared to the non-adjustable Koni Active Select’s I just self-fitted to my MY22 MIC Y ($1250 AUD). Same high speed wallow you mention and mismatch with the stiff springs.
Koni Special Actives with Stock springs will give you a performance uplift and better ride as well.
Koni yellows. I have run them on my GLI and currently my MkVI GTI and they are great with lowering springs.
I have the Koni Special Active on my '08 328xi. I installed them at about 95K miles; my apparently original shocks were leaking. Less body roll in fast corners. My expired shocks were mushy, so these feel a bit stiffer.
