I would like to add a few things I learned when replacing my filter on my old buick. First off, I would spray it down with pb blaster several times and let it soak for a good hour or so. Then I would remove the line on the other side of the filter (I think it will be rubber/plastic and should come off easy once you push in the tabs, also make sure to relieve pressure from the system using the valve on the fuel rail before opening the system) . If you use a flare wrench on the rusty fuel line fitting you will surely round it. What you want to do is grab it with a knipex pliers wrench and hold tight. Then use another wrench and TURN ONLY THE FILTER. Do NOT turn the fitting or you will surely snap the line.
