I was over at the local hub today trying to grab a steering rack for a job and noticed the cardone 10-packs are already completely wiped out. I’ve always used their reman pumps and racks because they actually include the seals and hardware that the cheap house brands skip out on.

The steering rack was replaced about three years ago using a Cardone remanufactured unit from RockAuto. Unfortunately, I’m now realizing that it wasn’t a great choice—the rack is starting to make knocking noises, although it’s not leaking. Steering has become stiff and hard to turn.
Same shit happened to my rattlecan rebuild from cardone on my miata. At the end of a day of autocross it was leaking from both sides of the rack as well as both ends of the input shaft. What a fucking waste of money.
