Also after running ATs on my XC90, I could never go back to not having all that extra meat on the outside edges - especially on the fronts.
Volvo parts reviews
I’ve worked in the aftermarket for 10 years now and you can’t go wrong with Gates. Gates is the one really.
Had the same issue with my -07 Volvo v50 (it has a ford engine). Swapped the alternator and the problem was gone.
INA pulleys
Aisin water pump
Contitech belts.
I've done many timing belts. The locking tool is a "nice to have" but certainly not required. You should be checking your cam sprocket alignment before turning the engine over, anyway, so just take your time and be careful and you'll avoid most issues.
Mahle. Best pleat design I’ve seen and according to Volvo, their primary reason they selected Mahle over MANN or Hengst.
Pilkington is an OEM supplier so I wouldn\u2019t be too worried; my old Volvo had a factory Pilkington windshield.
Had a set on my Volvo. They were good in the winter, but only okay in the summer, and they met an early demise on a gravel road in the Sangres
My 2011 C30 had many expensive problems. The most expensive being a head gasket @55k miles and $3,800. It was always fun to drive but now I have the 2022 C40 which is even better!
Had a c30 1.6D nice car. What put me off was evil electronics. Had major issues with Volvo car alarm (I think it had microwave sensors) ended up leaving it unarmed most days as couldn\u2019t deal with 3am wake up
