LIQUI MOLY Engine oil

Rating 5.0

i can only speak from experience and based on my oil analysis results... Liqui moly is an amazing oil. The motor is fairly quiet, the fuel economy is good, the performance is on point and Friction inside the motor (engine wear) is at a \"very very minimum\" or so the reports say... For all this, i cant help but recommend Liqui Moly!

Pros: motor fairly quiet, good fuel economy
Cons: none

Castrol Engine oil

I have an 09 Jetta Sportwagen with a APR stage 1 ECU upgrade (since 2000 miles) and have 63,500 miles on the car. I have changed the oil every 10,000 and the oil is only down about 1/4 quart after 10,000 miles. I have done an oil analysis with Blackstone labs every oil change and the report comes back with the oil looks great and to extend the change to 11,000 miles! The report also shows my engine wearing betting than average.

Pros: oil looks great, engine wearing better
Cons: oil down 1/4 quart
Mileage: 63500 km

I have a 2010 VW Jetta 2.5 with 48,000 miles todate. The dealer used Castrol and on the last change Valvoline. Now I'm doing my own oil changes etc. Currently using Mobil 0w-40. Since I've had the car the oil level drops so little on 10,000 changes that I can't measure it. The last oil change included 4,700 miles of hot Interstate driving. After it was changed I had the oil tested and basicly it had a lot of life left. Looks like the 2.5 is very easy on oils.

Pros: oil level drops little
Mileage: 48000 km

I have an mk4 2.0 Jetta with 87.000 Kms (54.000 miles aprox) and when I bought it it came with 20W50 Quacker State oil in it... I knew it was not correct so I change it with Castrol Edge Synthetic oil... The guy at the shop told me that since VW engines run on high temps the recommend grade was 5w50... So far the oil has been great... There is zero oil consumption, the engine runs smooth and the temps are stable...

Pros: zero oil consumption, engine runs smooth, stable temps
Mileage: 87000 km

LIQUI MOLY Engine oil

When I first purchased my 08 WE, I used M1 0w-40. I found I was using about 1/2 quart per 5000 miles. LM cut that down to about 1/4 quart per 5000 miles.

Pros: reduced oil consumption
Cons: high oil consumption with M1
Mileage: 5000 km

Liqui Moly Leichtlauf (the dark blue bottle) 5w40: This is the oil I ran this sumer, and I'm on my second oil change with it. This oil burned about 2 quarts during both intervals, but did not seem to thin out or break down at all.

Pros: did not thin out
Cons: burned about 2 quarts
