I just put the CC2’s on my 18 GSW 4motion. I couldn’t be more pleased! Performance on wet road- exceptional. Snow- not quite as good as a dedicated snow tire, but damn close. I’ve rallied up the canyon to Alta on snow packed days, not once did they get squirrelly.

Well, after a lot of troubleshooting, I have finally found the answer to my problem. This is apparently well known among the 8-valve PD diesels, and is known as head lift, aka loose or stretched cylinder head bolts. I got a tip that I ought to look into this, so I pulled the valve cover and boy, the bolts were pretty loose. I tightened them up, and now the heat/no heat issues has dissapeared.
Even though the mileage had not been reached, I decided that an 8 year-old timing belt was due for replacement. While doing that, I thought that replacing all the 8 year-old hoses would be a good idea too. I didn't realize how many hoses there are on this engine and how difficult it is to get to them and replace. At least I won't have to do that again for another decade or more since I replaced the rubber hoses with silicone hoses.
I like the MANN filters
Replaced cabin air filter w k&n high performance filter in prep for my 60k, car feels so much faster now. Butt dyno is reading 10+ hp gains!
I have the 225/40-18 Vredesteins on my 7.5R. I can't compare to the Firestones directly, but I'm very happy with the Vredesteins. After breaking them in I'm quite happy with how well they stick in the dry, and their performance in ~8" of snow was outstanding.
Our OEM racks are made by Mont Blanc, many had said Thule, but that's not correct.
I use Mobil ESP VW507.00 5w30, which is on the approved oil list and I buy for $30 when it goes on sale at Canadian Tire.
i noticed that my coolant was a tiny bit low in early October. Well, when I took it in last Tuesday, November 24th, turns out that I needed a new water pump, and because there was a 5 year, 60,000 mile warranty, and 5 years had just passed, i had to pay ~$700 to have it fixed. so far so good after that, but I am going to write VWOA about it, because I was literally only about two weeks out of the 5 year warranty expiration.
YES my car does this also, it started at about 12,500 miles. My car is a 2017 4-motion S sportwagen, mine is so bad that you can duplicate it when the car is stopped or when it is driving.
