Was running cheap ass liqui moly but now that I\u2019m not slow stock turbo anymore i run Motul 8100 Xclean (5w-40).
I put 2 in my mk6 until VW finally issued a design revision. Symptoms of failure are similar to your description.
Bosch, and this is coming from experience from my previous cars, always used Bosch, they’re the best wiper blades hands down no matter that car/truck.
I use peak violet european formula in my mk8 R.
Another solid budget pick is the Firehawk Indy 500 (basically a baby Pilot Sport but cheaper). I ran them on my old Mk7 and they were awesome for daily + fun drives.
Took my 2019 Golf R to the track with stock pads and rotors. The brakes started smelling really bad after 20 minutes of track time, and squealing a bit. Didn’t lose braking power significantly, but this is what they look like afterwards.
Alternator stopped charging while driving and it slung grease all over the engine bay and hood.
The gti tired are crap
Liqui moly apparently it’s not good oil, they’re just good at marketing
