BRIDGESTONE Tires
alex_plex
  • Grip:
  • Ride comfort:
Rating 4.0

Bought new tires - Bridgestone Potenza RE002 205/50R16. Yeah, it is not stance size, but I'm very bored of driving my static low Corrado with low profile tyres, and would like to enjoy the driving R36 engine without slow down before every pit

Pros: new tires
Cons: not stance size
Part number: RE002

JE Pistons

When I removed the oversize pistons from the PG block thought that the bottom skirt had came in contact with the oil squirters but looking closer looks like they may have been ground at the JE before delivery. They are all ground the same and seems at the same angle as well

Pros: ground at the JE
Vehicle: Volkswagen Corrado

KONI Shock absorbers
timnosenzo
  • Body bounce:
  • Bottoming:
Rating 4.0

Hard for me to say, it's been a while since I had stock suspension in the car. The Koni's replaced some very old Boge Turbo Gas struts/shocks and Neuspeed springs, and there's a marked improvement from that setup. I currently have the Koni's set to medium firmness and not terribly low ride height, and so far I'm very pleased - but I'll probably futz with them a bit more as I drive it and things break in.

Pros: marked improvement from setup
Vehicle: Volkswagen Corrado

The rear Boge Red shocks were shot, so I put in Koni Yellow Sports to match what is in the front and replaced bushings with AUTOTECH Polyurethane; kept NEUSPEED Sport Springs

Pros: Koni Yellow Sports
