I would recommend getting TRW Ceramics if you're going to change them. Affordable, good stopping power, low dust, quiet
Volkswagen parts reviews
I ran EBC yellows at PittRace on my Golf R and they held up fine.
Liqui Moly Diesel Purge that I always pour in after a fuel filter replacement.
Since then, I've changed my oil to a low SAPS VW 504 Mobil 1 5w30 ESP X3 which according to lubrizol has superior resistance to deposit and sludge formation. At this point, I've got consumption down to around 1qt/1400 mi which is a great improvement from where it was before. Hoping for further improvements with time but pleased with progress.
I have a 2013 GTI with 105k on my original water pump, no issues
I just run the usual small inline deals, Wix or Beck/Arnley filters.
Fresh front brakes, Zimmerman blanks with EBC Bluestuff, hopefully these do better than the yellows.
The Stage 1 Garrett doesn’t provide enough of a bump from an OEM is38 with a lifetime warranty to justify the expense.
This happened to my 2021 Arteon (pointed out by others when I got a car wash) a few days ago. It was the front passenger side of the tire. Mileage on the car was about 9000 miles.
I just replaced the pads (Bosch BE1633H) and rotors (Textar 5Q0615301G) on my MK7 R, and after torqueing everything I noticed a clunk when rolling up and down my driveway (happened only when going from forward to reverse or vice versa). I jacked the car up, took the wheels off, and checked all the bolts, everything was tight and torqued to spec. I then noticed that the brake pad itself is shifting.
