Castrol Engine oil

My co workers wife had a high mileage Sienna 3.0. Oil leaking from every seal. We started using Castrol high mileage, it stopped leaving spots in his driveway and quit loosing 1.5 qrts between oil changes.

Pros: stopped oil leaking
Cons: leaking with other brands

OEM Toyota Oil filter

For oil, if you are changing your oil earlier than the OEM recommended oil change interval of 10k mi / 12 mo, then feel free to use the cheapest GF-6B API-SP certified oil of whatever type it says on your oil cap, along with a Toyota OEM filter, which is almost always cheapest to buy at the dealership's parts counter.

Pros: cheapest to buy
Mileage: 16093 km

Goodyear Tires

I’m satisfied with the Goodyears I have. Goodyear efficient grip performance 2 tires I use on my Prius in the summer and in the winter I run the Goodyear ultra grip ice wrt. Which is not bad for the price.

Pros: not bad, good price

AISIN Water pump

My 1 year, \~6K miles Aisin WPT-108 pump failure story:

I have a 4A-FE Corolla E11. Changed timing belt, auxiliary belts, tensioner+spring, the whole lot last summer. The waterpump (Aisin WPT-108) was from a reputable online shop here in Europe (Autodoc). Last week I come to find the new pump dripping from the lower weep hole, so its the whole timing belt job all over again pretty much. No wierd bearing sounds. I did 6K miles last year if that.

Pros: smooth bearings
Cons: pump failure, dripping
Vehicle: Toyota Corolla
Mileage: 9656 km
Part number: WPT-108
