My '83 Mighty Max with 783,000+ miles on its original engine, thermostat included, would like a word. I'm pretty sure it will outlast me if I can stay ahead of the rust.

OEM Mitsubishi Leaf springs
binguelada98
  • Creaks:
  • Harsh ride:
Rating 4.0

I have one (Mitsubishi Pajero mk11983). It has a 2.3 turbo diesel.

I used to drive it pretty rough. It can take a beating. No major problems. Broke a leal spring, but I replaced it for cheap.

Pros: can take a beating
Cons: looses traction
Vehicle: Mitsubishi Pajero

OEM Mitsubishi Timing chain
SlippitInn
  • Starting:
Rating 4.0

I had 2 of those. Swapped the top end, gas tank and some of the interior.

When we had to replace the timing chain we had to carve a sturdy hook into a stick to get the right leverage.

These things are so much fun off-road.

Pros: fun off-road
Cons: dangerous on the highway
Vehicle: Mitsubishi Montero

Mitsuboshi Brake pads

I remember the salesman telling us when we bought our outlander XLS back in 2011 was that the were a spartan car company giving you every on the inside. But the doors felt thin to me. We bought it though and I have to say out of all the cars we owned the 5 and 5 and 10 year warranty were amazing. Also that SUV never gave us any issues. We did usual oil changes and had to change the brakes obviously. But nothing other than 1 recall that they took care of. Car was very well built I’d say compared to my Volkswagens Volvos and BMW and minis I’ve owned.

Pros: amazing warranty, very well built
Cons: doors felt thin
Vehicle: Mitsubishi Outlander

Enginetech Timing belt
Trihxzy
  • Visible wear:
Rating 1.0

I purchased this “economy” rock auto timing belt (enginetech) however the belt was an evergreen belt in an enginetech box, because i didn’t have much money to spare at the time of replacement and this is what i get for cheaping out.

Cons: failed due to cheaping out
Vehicle: Mitsubishi Eclipse
