Mitsuboshi CVT fluid
phatdragon451
  • Smoothness:
  • Slip/flare:
Rating 5.0

Your CVT will last much longer if you change the oil. Take it to the stealership if low skills won't change it. Put synthetic fluid in it. Don't shock load it, and don't do burn outs. The one in my Lancer had 350 000km on it, no issues.

Pros: CVT will last longer
Cons: Don't shock load it
Vehicle: Mitsubishi Lancer
Mileage: 350000 km

R1 Concepts Brake discs

Got a 2017 lancer and did the R1 concepts. Good results after only the first two weeks. Mind you! I had two seized calipers in the back and had to replace those as well. What is stated about drilled rotors is true about the cracking if you’re using them aggressively, I bought these specific ones because I read they have the better rating out of most and since I’m using them in the winter I’m not concerned with them getting too hot to crack (please correct me if my logic is not correct) but I assumed that since the vehicle was primarily being used for cold weather it would be best to go with a more reputable brand for safe stopping power.

Pros: good results, safe stopping power
Cons: prone to cracking
Vehicle: Mitsubishi Lancer

BFGoodrich Tires
Famous-Owl-3545
  • Grip:
  • Noise:
Rating 4.5

Pros: very satisfied, excellent on snow/mud, no stress
Cons: a bit noisy on acceleration

Mitsuboshi Idle air control valve
theartsygamer89
  • Idle stability:
Rating 1.0

With my car I have two mechanic fix it. 1 1/2 years ago the first mechanic tried 3 different aftermarket idle air control valves (2 from Import Direct which is an O'Reilly in house brand and 1 different brand) to fix a low idle issue I was having and all 3 did not work. What finally worked was an OEM Mitsubishi idle air control valve shipped from Japan.

Pros: OEM valve worked
Cons: aftermarket valves failed
Vehicle: Mitsubishi Lancer

Gates Water pump

Years ago I would use the Gates kit on my 03 Evo with no issue, but a few years back I had a failure (from a different component) after 19k miles and the Gates pump was weeping when I removed it. The shop I use also doesn’t recommend them either so I go OEM for the water pump anymore.

Cons: weeping when removed, shop doesn't recommend
Vehicle: Mitsubishi Lancer
Mileage: 30577 km
