The originals are Monroes if I'm not mistaken. I've replaced them all round on the my F from Autodoc as well, with new ones same brand. Fairly cheap and easy to fit.
MG parts reviews
I've just done shock absorbers on my '95 F, I got them from AutoDoc for £60 a pair. I used the Ridex ones, it's autodocs own brand but the shocks don't need to do as much on a F and personally I've always found their products to be good although others have had issues
I thought it was a gimmick, but I’ve sent two sets of expensive AMG rotors back after they were worn out.
My round trip is about 85 kms (plus sitting in peak Auckland traffic) and recently bought the MG4 51. It's absolutely nailing it, its also the main weekend car. Advertised range is 350km but on a full charge it's getting 400+.
I use Castrol GTX 20W-50, same as what the manual calls for. I know the oils changed since then but the previous owner didn't care for the car properly so I feel like the detergents are necessary.
Mine had the DCOE and it wasn't bad at all. It was a fun car to drive and felt solid.
I wasn't crazy with the AC Delco (GM) alternator conversion when I used it on my MGB engine. The Bosch ones seemed to be a little better designed and easier to convert, plus they looked simmilar to the Lucas ones.
Go try and price up discs and pads for an electric MG.
Horrible horrible cars. I owned a second hand MG ZS and almost everything shit itself - head gasket blew and I was too traumatised to continue fixing things on it outside warranty. Please do not buy an MG.
Also, na installan ako ng defective oil filter sa Casa na na hassle pa akong ibalik at muntik pa ma sira yung engine ko, buti nalang hindi..
