NGK Spark plug
Tycoon5000
  • Starting:
Rating 5.0

NGK laser iridiums are the ones I just put in. You don't have to do it often so the price tag doesn't hurt as much I guess is one way of looking at it. Also buying good plugs will help you NOT spend a ton more money further down the road on repairs.

Pros: good plugs, less repairs
Cons: price tag hurts

OEM Mazda Oil filter

YES! My 2012 Skyactiv is at 233K miles, and has always had the Mazda Moly 0W-20 (with the exception where I was able to get the Idemitsu version, which is the same stuff, but without Mazda's markup. Sucks that it isn't available anymore. ) and I'm not about to chance running a different oil.

Always run a Mazda filter too. The quality seems better than most.

Pros: high quality
Cons: expensive
Vehicle: Mazda 3
Mileage: 233000 km

OEM Mazda Fog lights
javaforlife
  • Fog visibility:
Rating 3.0

I have the oem LED fog lights installed in my 2018 mazda 3 touring. I can't say much about the lines on road because it depends on what kind of paint your city uses. But I can say that it helps me in darker roads to see things like small animals and curb on the side walk

Pros: helps in darker roads

About 105k miles. Got rid of them because the tires were beginning to get really bad dry rot. Still had a ton of tread left.

Pros: ton of tread left

Toyo Tires

On the gen 3 they lasted until 30k miles, on the gen 4, both cars made it to 25k before replacement was needed. They aren't the best.

Pros: lasted 25k miles
Cons: aren't the best
Vehicle: Mazda 3
