Honda Civic parts reviews
I recently changed entire front end + all 4 rotors and brakes and even asked them extensively about future parts availability.
I had a set of Nexen on a 2011 Honda Civic I had many, many, years ago. They were cheap, but still very good tires.
I switched to 5w30 Pennzoil Ultra Platinum a long time ago on my 2.0T. 140k miles and running strong. FK8 CTR Turbo added around 133k, too. FBO PRL mods!
About that 1.8 engine. It's great, but there is one potential issue at 100k+ miles, fuel injectors. If one goes, they all will fail as a result so if you have to change one, you will absolutely need to change them all. They worked perfectly for me.
At 85k I swapped to NGK Iridium Ix plugs on my 2019 civic with the 2.0na and I swear it added at least 20% response. Makes me wish I would have gotten it with a manual cause it would be so much more fun to drive around town. Also got a few more MPG
I had a 2004 Civic 6 years ago and it kept driving with a blown head gasket I didn’t know about.
When driving my '18 Honda Civic i get flashed for having my high beams on pretty regularly when I don't.
Turns out I did not tighten the bolts enough on the intake cam gear. A couple came very loose or out. Tore up the timing belt, the cam gear and valve cover.
I put Falken Ziex (65k) on a Honda Civic 10th Gen. didn’t even make it to 40k. Never again. Rotated every oil change (5k). I know the heat had something to do with it (Florida) but the streets here are smooth as butter.
