KYB Strut assembly

Looking at good quality replacement parts and non dealer labor ($150/hr), you can fix it for 6k. Sway bar links, shock absorber, control arm: $900 in parts (OEM struts, Mevotech Control Arms) + $150 alignment + 5-7 hours of labor.

Pros: OEM struts, Mevotech Control Arms
Vehicle: Acura MDX

MICHELIN Tires

I have the cross climates on my wife’s Acura RDX. I’m very impressed with them in the snow and equally impressed this past summer on dry pavement.

MICHELIN Tires
RG5600
  • Grip:
  • Noise:
Rating 5.0

Personally, I have the Michelin Pilot and can attest to how incredibly awesome they are. Stick to the road like glue and significant road noise reduction over the factory crap Acura puts on it's cars.

Pros: incredibly awesome, stick like glue, reduced road noise

K&N Cabin filter

To make things easier, I put a K & N cabin filter in so I don’t have to replace it every year. I need to clean it as it’s due.

Pros: reusable, long service interval

Cardone Steering rack

The steering rack was replaced about three years ago using a Cardone remanufactured unit from RockAuto. Unfortunately, I’m now realizing that it wasn’t a great choice—the rack is starting to make knocking noises, although it’s not leaking. Steering has become stiff and hard to turn.

Cons: knocking noises, stiff steering
Vehicle: Acura TL
