KONI Shock absorbers
Icy_Shoulder_5666
  • Body bounce:
  • Bottoming:
Rating 4.5

Some one already said it but I recently did koni yellows and HR OE sport springs for mine. On the koni "stock ride hight" setting it sits nice and is a very comfortable ride since the HR springs lower it to a classy level without bottoming out ever.

Pros: very comfortable ride
Cons: kinda want stiffer
Vehicle: Acura Integra

Carbotech Brake pads

I'm liking the Carbotech 1521 pads for their better heat tolerance and modulation over OEM pads, though I feel light initial bite is slightly less.

Pros: better heat tolerance, good modulation
Cons: light initial bite
Vehicle: Acura Integra
Part number: 1521

Continental Tires

  • Ride comfort:
Rating 4.5

My wife purchased a used Acura Integra. When I drove it just didn't handle as precise as I expected. We replaced them with.... Continental. All of a sudden the handling was much better and safer.

Pros: handling was much better
Cons: handling not precise

KONI Shock absorbers
PatrickGSR94
  • Bottoming:
Rating 5.0

When I lowered my Integra over 20 years ago, I knew I wanted quality stuff that would hold up, i.e. not lowering springs on stock shocks. I saved up and went with Koni Sport yellow adjustable shocks along with H&R Sport springs. Those shocks lasted me nearly 20 years and over 250k miles until I just replaced them with another set a couple years ago.

Pros: quality stuff, lasted long
Vehicle: Acura Integra
Mileage: 402336 km

Mobil Engine oil

Rating 5.0

I’ve been using Mobil1 0w-30 in it for over 20 years. My Blackstone Labs reports still come back clean with no water, fuel or antifreeze found in the oil.

Pros: clean lab reports, long-term reliability

Mitsuboshi Timing belt

  • Visible wear:
  • Starting:
Rating 5.0

I used to always go with OEM Honda parts for timing belt and water pump jobs. But the price of the OEM parts have gotten so high that I went with [this kit] on Amazon for my last TB job on my GSR, in late 2018. Mistuboshi timing belt, NPW water pump, GMB tensioner pulley. Those are all Japanese OEM parts suppliers, so I was comfortable using them. Almost 20k miles on thost parts now and everything is working great.

Pros: working great
Vehicle: Acura Integra
Mileage: 20000 km

Fram Oil filter

Never felt any substantial difference from the changing of the oil itself but did notice that using a regular Fram filter made for a shaky idle in the '89 Integra I had. Changing the filter back to an STP made the wonky idle go away.

Pros: STP filter fixed idle
Cons: Fram filter shaky idle
Vehicle: Acura Integra
