Tires like the Riken Raptor are a soft tire and performance minded, but not full on track tire (300tw). They perform quite well, but at the same time, are dirt cheap.
In my experience the best bang for your buck summer tire is the Riken Raptor. They're about $100 a pop and have great dry grip. Downside is that they're not amazing in very wet conditions.
Riken Raptor ZR A/S RF. These tires were under $400 for a SET (about $86 per tire). 300tw. Aggressive tire pattern. And they are a solid performer for canyon carving. I drove them about 4000 miles over a week this past summer around MATG including some pretty aggressive backroad driving and they held up VERY well. Insanely well given the price.
bought Wanli tires 15in all goods naman nung dumating
I have some rikens as my non-race tires for the c4. They're fine.
I have a shitbox I daily drive in the city (an old Hyundai Accent). I don't want to spend too much money on its tires so I bought a set of 185/55r15 Wanli Harmonics for only around 170 USD including mounting and balancing. I've driven 6000 miles on it so far.
Pros: Cheap
Cons: Noisy, doesn't have that much grip (I can do a front wheel burnout now with 140hp lol), wears out quickly (I've already shaved maybe 20% of its tread)
My wife had Wanli tires on a car she bought at one time, didn't last long either.
I’ve been running Riken Raptor ZR A/S tires since I got my WRX just over a year ago and FINALLY got my hands on a set of Blizzaks. I’m excited to see how they handle any future snows here in Colorado Springs. We just had a good bit of snow dumped on us this past week and the all seasons were definitely showing signs of needing replacement.
