Tires Pirelli or NITTO

Pirelli Tires

I got Pirelli Scorpion Winters for my 22. In past on other vehicles have had tons of success with Blizzaks and on cars where performance was less a concern even Generals. Older S4 (‘13) ran Michelin X-ice. Good luck!

Pros: tons of success
Vehicle: Audi SQ5

I put Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus SL tires on my truck last December and love them. When I did my research they were closely rated to BFG All Terrains which I had on my last truck. I haven't noticed any flat spotting and I work from home so my truck has gone almost a week without moving on a regular basis.

Pros: love them, no flat spotting

I ran Supercorsa SP's on my track bike that I also sometimes took on the road. They had plenty of grip for my quick intermediate pace. They don't last long though

Pros: plenty of grip
Cons: don't last long

I'm running Rosso 4 Corsa's on my S1000RR, in the fast group. I've had no issues what-so-ever running them and they have a deeper profile compared to sp v3's, which also improves its tire life.

Pros: deeper profile, improves life

I've had these on for a few days, so I can't give a comprehensive review, but here are my first impressions.

The 70,000 mile warranty was the biggest selling point here. These are 700AA on the UTQG scale, so much harder than the 400 UTQG Continentals that I'm used to. I expected stiffer feel over bumps and louder road noise since they don't have foam, but these actually seem softer and quieter. The traction is noticeably worse in dry conditions, haven't tested on wet roads. I got them to spin out from a stop, but maybe that was just breaking them in, because now they don't seem to lose traction. The biggest downside is the reduced steering precision. These have a very wavy wandering feedback to inputs, my friend says it may be 'tread crawl' from having thicker treads than the old ones. The Continentals felt like a scalpel on winding roads, these are more like a rubber scalpel.

I need to try a few more situations, like rain, but I think I'm going to end up liking these better because the increased comfort is more useful to me than the performance.

Pros: softer, quieter, increased comfort
Cons: reduced steering precision

Pirelli P7 A/S - nice but wore quickly, even on a Honda Fit. That, and the Pirelli A/S runflats that came OEM on the Alfa are the worst tires I've used

Pros: nice
Cons: wore quickly, worst tires
Vehicle: Honda Fit
