Tire fit no rubbing at full lock so I ordered three more. The increased diameter is noticeable under acceleration, but I can live with it.
Basically got all the Red Bull/Vettel Era Sponsors covered, drink tons of Red Bull, wear an Edifice Watch, sport Geox Shoes, Pepe Jeans, have Pirelli Tires and even bought an Infiniti.
I was looking for the same size but Kijiji'ed a 1-year old set of Pirelli Winter Carvings, on steelies, for 340. Checked the wheels for rust/cracks, treads, consistent pressure across tires.
I bought 17" rims and Pirelli Sottozero 3 performance winters. The one time they saw snow last year was a ton of fun and they handled it like a champ. The other 99% of the time, when they were driven in the rain, they were awesome.
mine came with pirelli cinturato p7 all season plus, for the 18\" autobahn trim wheels.
thankfully i opted for the wheel / tire protection and that paid off. ive had every tire replaced at least once, and finally just switched to pirelli's which i have loved for the past year and a half.
I have run P7s on over 4 different cars and I love them for all seasons. However, the Sottozero high performance winter tire rocks!
I have 36k on the OEM P-Zeros on my Mk6 GTI and they are at 3/32", so its time for new shoes. Overall, not a bad tire, especially for the money.
That said, if you're not looking for a performance tire but a quiet, smooth, comfortable tire that holds air and hates to change direction the Cinturato P7s are for you. If you want to drive your GTI like it's a sporty car with some fun and enthusiasm, you'll find that the P7s spin, lose traction, squeal, hate to change direction chatter on braking and generally suck when driving with more vigor than an 80 year old, blind coot who doesn't want to spill his beer.
The PP p zeros don't last very long under any driving conditions, and they are expensive. There are a lot of cheaper summer tires that'll last as long or longer, look at the hankook ventus v12
