Take a look for some Nitto in your area. Made by Toyo and decent looking tread patterns. And 3pms rated on a few.
Went from:
Nitto Terra Grappler G2s (good)
to Ridge Grapplers (meh)
to Recon Grapplers (amazing). Great ride super quiet still enough knob for the back 40.
These are the roughest riding tire ever. I used to replace with the Michelin M/S2, but nowadays on my last two Rams, I run the Nitto 420V and I like them better in all respects.
Nitto Grapplers. Ran them on my ‘14 EcoDiesel. Must have got 50-60k on em
We just wrapped up our tire test showdown as we put six leading touring tires to the ultimate performance test across all conditions.
Wondering how tires like Giti Control P10, Michelin Primacy 4 ST, and others performed on a BMW F30.
I'm with you. I've clocked about 7000 miles on the Nomad Grapplers now, and they are a noticeable improvement to the truck in all areas but fuel economy.
So now that I’ve had 1k miles on the Nitto Nomads I figured I’d drop a review. These tires are noticeably better. I feel confident on turns that they are gripping and never sliding. They do great in rain, gravel and mud.
I use them. Good in the rain. But need to get hot on the track for full grip.
They’re trash tires. My Nittos hit 20k and lost enough traction on wet that I lost confidence in them. When a nail went thru the sidewall 4k miles later it gave me an excuse to upgrade to wildpeaks. The difference was huge.
Experiencing the same issue with my Terra Grappler G2. I wasn’t sure if it was just mine since we live in Florida. However, it doesn’t look like it’s an isolated issue that only applies to southern regions. Mine are only 2.5 years old with around 18K miles on them.
