I went with the Ecopia 422+ on my 2013, replacing my stock tires. Range has been good (if not a little better), and the ride is MUCH quieter than the stock tires. Like I didn't realize how loud the road noise was until it was gone.
I threw some of those on my 2021 Limited. They look good, drive smooth on normal roads, and looking forward to snow in my area to really feel the grip. They are 3PMS rated.
Bridgestone Blizzarks winter tires. I drive 80miles round trip to work daily.
I had brand new Destination LE2 A/S tires and was sliding all over Rt.247 one crazy winter night. And then got Blizzaks put on... I hit that same area again, with snow and was a night and day difference, no more slippy slidey fun time for me !!
I'm a mechanic in Canada, I see all sorts of winter tires. Having driven on many different brands and styles, I recommend bridgestone blizzak over all others if you can afford it.
Nokian Hakkas, Toyo Observe GSi-5 and 6, Blizzaks have been the go-tos on all of our vehicles and among my family.
RE71R’s or full Hoosier slicky boys if I’m feeling spicy and really wanna set a PB.
I have the nittos NT555 G2s on my mustang and they have lasted about 30k miles. But I wouldn't call them ultra high performance by any stretch of the word.
With 4000 miles on the car, I thought I would 'Upgrade' with a decent reviewed set to replace the stock continentals... After a 3-hour install I became somewhat horrified as to what I had done...even with the proper size, the car visually and actually sits lower, the fluid steering has stiffened exponentially (even normal mode), and the car feels so much heavier. The Tiguan now struggles (and burns gas /loses economy) to accelerate in regular conditions and the braking feels laggard. It is a night and day difference that makes the OEM Continental ProContacts actually seem like a good tire. Do not purchase these tires unless you want to turn your Tiguan into a constipated low-slung Jeep.
I've had NT05's on my TT and they lasted one season, and I couldn't drive in the rain.
