I put Nexen Roadian AT Pro RA8 on instead (they were on sale and had white letter sidewalls, I am old school) and honestly I haven't regretted it at all... I do some off-roading and deal with pretty severe winters and snow and the Nexens have been very good in those conditions and I have put a fair amount of interstate highway miles on them and they run nice and quiet.

Pros: nice and quiet, very good

YOKOHAMA Tires

Yokohama is my choice. They tend to do very well on Hondas. They also last a long time too.

Pros: last a long time

Nexen like all brands make different levels of tires. If you decide to buy the cheap ones your results will be indeed be bad. I bought a nicer tire that they make and have had no issues with them. It's actually the best ride quality I've had in my car. They drive better than Dunlop and Pirrelli P-Zero I had in the past.

Pros: best ride quality
Cons: cheap ones bad

YOKOHAMA Tires

I drive a 2015 Fit with Avid Ascend GT tires. It can handle the midwest snow just fine. My last set of 4 lasted me a little over 36k miles / 4.5 years with some poor road conditions in the city and lots of highway driving.

Pros: handles midwest snow fine
Vehicle: Honda Fit
Mileage: 57936 km

YOKOHAMA Tires

I have Yokohama Avid Ascend GTs on my 15. I have 195/55R16s and I don't want to go any wider than that.

My experience with them has been very positive. They have more than enough lateral grip for autocross and tearing up back roads, but are still solid feeling in the frequent rainstorms of the east coast. And while we don't get that much snow where I am, it handles that well enough as well.

Pros: positive experience, solid feeling
Vehicle: Honda Fit

My avid ascends have been great for the last couple runs. I am at 225k miles almost. Had three pair. Only complaint is that I didn't get very near the advertised warranty mileage. More like 50k per set.

Pros: great for last runs
Cons: low mileage per set
Mileage: 362102 km

YOKOHAMA Tires

Just replaced mine at a little over 25,000 miles. From other posters I knew it was coming sooner rather than later. I ended up putting Yokohama Geolander A/Ts on

Cons: coming sooner
Mileage: 25000 km

YOKOHAMA Tires

Soooo yes and no. I live in Fairbanks, AK and they honestly did pretty decent for deep snow HOWEVER once it went -40°F and that snow slowly turned into hardpack I instantly swapped them out for Falken AT Trails. Although not as good as a dedicated winter tire they did WAYYYY better than the Avid GTs which almost lead me into a few close calls since THEY HAD ABSOLUTELY 0 TRACTION

Pros: pretty decent for snow
Cons: absolutely 0 traction
