Tires Nexen or BRIDGESTONE

BRIDGESTONE Tires

I've been running Blizzaks (WS80, then WS90) on the stock wheels on my '18 Sportwagen since new and have loved them.

Pros: have loved them

BRIDGESTONE Tires

I bought the Weatherpeak 2 years ago. They were great tires in messy weather. No complaints at all there. But they wore down very quickly. Like in 25-40k.

Pros: great in messy weather
Cons: wore down quickly
Mileage: 40000 km

Bought Weatherpeaks instead of CC2 for our Crosstrek, no difference in MPG. They're quieter than the stock Falkens.

Snow traction isn't as good as dedicated winter tires but it's good enough for the winters around here.

Pros: quieter than stock
Cons: snow traction not great
Vehicle: Subaru

Rating 4.0

Just thought I’d share some initial impressions.

Car Details: 2020 Model 3 RWD

Original Tires: Michelin Primacy

Miles of original tires: 58,300

New Tires: Nexen N’Blue 4S2

Miles on new tires: 100-200

Road Noise

Nexen (N): quiet. I mean nothing at slow speeds and very light at hwy speeds.

Efficiency

N: Still early days, but all miles in the rain and with gusts from the recent hurricane (it’s not nearly hurricane force winds). Mainly highway this far and was around 250-260kwh.

Ride Quality

N: shockingly noticeable job absorbing bumps. Not like a new suspension, but takes the cringe out of small potholes and bumps.

Pros: quiet, absorbs bumps
Mileage: 200 km

BRIDGESTONE Tires

If you need dedicated winter tires, best option is to buy a second set of rims and winter specific tires, Blizzaks are a personal fav of mine.

Pros: winter specific tires

Nexen Tires

I've got about 60k km on my OEM Nexen tires. They are definitely on the way out, they slip on wet roads now when accelerating.

Cons: slip on wet roads
Mileage: 60000 km

Nexen Tires

the stock OE tires are absolute garbage but they'll work just fine if you live in warmer climate area. I put mine through a single winter in buffalo ny area. it was a bad idea but if you're a good driver, you can manage the LACK of ANY traction.

Pros: work in warmer climate
Cons: absolute garbage, lack traction
Vehicle: Hyundai
