Tires MICHELIN or Nokia

Nokia Tires

AWD with winter tires is like a cheat code for winter driving. I used Nokian Hakkas on my old Audi and it made winter driving actually fun and enjoyable.

Pros: fun and enjoyable driving
Vehicle: Audi

Nokia Tires

Moved here from Ontario last month and bought my first pair of proper winter tires, studded Nokian Hakkas. Legit night and day difference from the all seasons I had before on my AWD Outback

Pros: night and day difference

Running Michelin X-Ice Snow now. Also good and well respected. Wearing a bit better. They handle better than the Blizzaks as well. Can recommend.

Pros: good, well respected
Cons: wear a bit quickly

Studded Nokians beat everything. I’ll never buy anything else! But the Michelins are a great tire.

Pros: Nokians beat everything
Cons: none

MICHELIN Tires

I've been using Michelin city grip since 2019 sa click v1. Sabi nila madali daw maupod pero makapit pero binili ko parin, why? dahil sa word na makapit lalo na kapag basa/maulan.

Everyday long ride ako General Trias-Sucat-Ermita Manila vice versa with OBR and sec topbox. 15mos lifespan ng rear tire ko and 30mos naman sa front.

Pros: makapit lalo kapag maulan
Cons: madali daw maupod

MICHELIN Tires

I'm running Michelin pilot super sports in stock size 205 45 17s on my ND B/B/R club. Grip is massively improved over the s001s, but still feel light and nimble. Grip is so good in fact, that capability now exceeds what is reasonable to push in most road situations. In that regard, I do sometimes miss the cheeky tail out shenanigans that used to be easy on a desolate country road sweeper.

Pros: grip is massively improved
Cons: miss tail out shenanigans
Vehicle: Mazda

MICHELIN Tires

I live in southern Ontario in Canada and after one winter of driving around mainly in the city I decided that they weren’t enough especially when going up any sort of incline with snow on the ground. I recently got a set of Michelin Ice-X tires and it makes a world of a difference. In the end if there’s anything more than a light dusting on the ground dedicated winters is the way to go. Also for context I drive a FWD Volvo V50. All in all they are great but as someone else said. Jack of all trades, master of none.

Pros: great all around
Cons: not enough grip
Vehicle: Volvo V50

I have them on my old Toyota. Worst tires i ever had. 4 years old, 45000 kms (28000 miles) and sides looks like on 10 yrs old tires. Barelly 4 mm threads. Etc.

Cons: worst tires ever
Vehicle: Toyota
Mileage: 45000 km
