Tires Kumho or BFGoodrich

BFGoodrich Tires

I have a 2020 Kona SEL and replaced my Nexens with BF Goodrich 215s about six weeks ago and thought I would share my range difference after I got to try them out for my Thanksgiving road trip. I observed about 11% range lost in town driving and 8% range lost in highway driving with the new tires. I think it's well worth it to not feel like you are going to die every time it rains though haha.

Pros: safer in wet conditions
Cons: range lost
Vehicle: Hyundai

So, back to Kumho I went for my 2017 Passat. This time, I really looked at customer feedback and choose the highest rated ones, the Kumho Majesty 9 Solus line. All season radial. So many people who had Audi, BMW, and Lexus swore by them. Got 'em on with a front end alignment of course. OMG! This is the quietest this car has ever driven. It glides along the road. We can whisper in the car and hear each other.

Pros: quietest ride, glides along
Mileage: 70000 km

I’ve had BFG KO2s on 2 trucks and an SUV. Very happy with them, little to no noise, tread lasts too. Great grip even on my 2WD

Pros: little to no noise

I've had KO2s on my 2017 Silverado for a month or so now and have done quite a few highway miles and some off-roading with them. Overall I am quite happy with them and think they are a major upgrade over the stock tires.

Pros: major upgrade over stock
Cons: significant hit mileage

I have an 05 Silverado 1500, the KO2s have been incredible! They are smooth on the highway and have a 50k mile warranty. I have taken them cross country and in the snow up in the Rockies (4WD of course but still). Worth every penny in my humble opinion.

Pros: smooth on the highway

Kumho Tires

I've had cheap Kumho ECSTA AST's. That you get what you paid for, when money is tight. Their ECSTA Platinum LX was a much better tire, and actually didn't have wear issues which the PQ46 chassis is known for (feathering). Decent grip.

Pros: decent grip, no wear issues
Cons: cheap, need to be careful
