I've put well over 50k miles on mine. Currently I'm right around 5/32nds maybe closer to 4. They did great in snow and rain up until this past winter and spring. Outside of thinking I had a bad wheel bearing, I'm thinking I'm starting to hear some more road noise. It's been relatively a great tire. They've worn evenly and didn't seem to effect any fuel economy.

Pros: great in snow and rain, worn evenly
Cons: road noise increasing
Mileage: 80467 km

GENERAL TIRE Tires

I use General RT43's on all my cars. Good budget all season that is also (relatively) good in snow. Not pilot sports, but dont drive like an idiot and they won't do anything funny to you. Dealt with everything from a foot of snow to hydroplaning conditions, never had them do anything scary to me.

Wear is good, grip is good, handles a variety of weather conditions well enough, and never had a manufacturing defect on the 16 tires ive owned. IMO from the research ive done and my experience, they are the bang for the buck of any tire out there.

Pros: good grip, good wear

GENERAL TIRE Tires

Yes, they are great tires. I currently run General Grabber ATXs on my truck and have ran General G-MAX performance tires on a previous car without issues.

Pros: great tires, no issues

GENERAL TIRE Tires

I wouldn’t have any hesitations buying General Tires. They are made and distributed by Continental tire, which is generally a reputable brand. Have had experience with both their all season and winter tires in the past and never ran into any issues with them. I used the RT43, G-Max and Altimax Arctic with no problems. There are certainly much worse tires out there, these ones are a good buy.

Pros: good buy, no issues

My initial impression of the Generals is that they are quite comfortable. Compared to the PSS, I think they definitely provide a better ride in normal driving situations. I’ve seen this is chalked up to a softer sidewall, and I can confirm that. Noise levels are good too.

In spirited driving, I think the Generals are perfect for the street. The main detractor I noticed is that they are a bit more vague than the PSS in the initial turn-in before providing that on-rails feeling of holding grip through corners. My unofficial test for grip is seeing if I can double the recommended speed that you can see on a sweeping on ramp or exit. The Generals delivered without much drama. These tires are perfectly at home on a windy back road as well.

Pros: comfortable, good noise levels
Cons: vague initial turn-in
Vehicle: Volkswagen
Mileage: 1200 km

GENERAL TIRE Tires

I have put on general grabber hts tires on my 09 tahoe. Has anyone had a problem with excessive noise and or even a slight whine when cold and going down the road? Drive for 30 minutes and the whine goes mostly away but not 100%.

Cons: excessive noise, slight whine

KENDA Tires

My Scout came from the factory Kenda tires. I am wholly not impressed with them, after 9,000 km they are just starting to scrub in for turning grip. I am also under the understanding that these factory tires are only good for 10,000km, so I will be changing none the less.

The addition of any moisture to the rear wheel, including from dew or fog reduces grip friction into the realm of nonexistence making for a disconcerting riding experience.

Cons: poor grip in moisture
Mileage: 9000 km
